Residential Real Estate Fees
KMSC Law is thrilled to announce our 2021 Fall Residential Real Estate Fees that will be in effect from October 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021.
At KMSC, we feel that transparency in our fees is important and want our clients to have a clear understanding of what they will be charged for legal services in relation to their sale or purchase transaction. Legal fees in relation to the purchase or sale of a home include the provision of legal advice, the review and preparation of documents, communication with other legal counsel, realtors, banks and other interested parties, completion of your transaction and addressing any issues that may arise during the course of completing your transaction.
KMSC Law’s Fall rates are a flat rate fee that includes standard disbursements such as:
- document generation fees
- postage and stationary
- communication fees
- courier fees
- Land Titles Office and tax searches
- document scanning
- electronic storage and electronic banking transfer fees
Please note that there may be additional charges for costs incurred by KMSC on your behalf that are above and beyond standard disbursements. These additional costs may include the cost of registration fees at the Alberta Land Titles Office for registration (Base fee of $50 plus $2.00/$5,000.00 of the value for registration of transfers and base fee of $50 plus $1.50/$5,000.00 for registration of mortgage) or discharge of documents, signing agents if required, delivery charges in addition to our standard courier fees, title insurance, municipal compliance or real property reports and additional searches or information required including but not limited to Corporate Registry searches or status certificates, additional land titles searches, estoppel certificates and condominium documents, Personal Property Registry searches and registrations.
We are of course happy to provide you with an updated estimate reflecting any of these additional disbursements upon request.
