Justin joined KMSC Law as an Associate in 2022. Justin’s unique perspective, which blends a rural background with legal experience at Alberta’s highest court, allows him to effectively advocate for his clients.
Born and raised in High Prairie, Alberta, Justin is familiar with the Peace Country. He completed his undergraduate degree at MacEwan University in Edmonton before studying law at Dalhousie University on a Schulich Scholarship. After graduating law, Justin spent a year clerking with the Justices of the Alberta Court of Appeal before completing his articles here at KMSC Law.
Justin has a keen ability to write and has published several papers. One of his papers won the Canadian Bar Association’s James L. Thistle, Q.C. Memorial Award for best paper on Alternative Dispute Resolution and was featured in the Barrister, a publication of the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association. Justin is now a member of The Barrister’s editorial board.
Justin now works in general law practice, though most of his time is spent assisting clients in matters related to civil litigation and personal injury. In his spare time, Justin enjoys running, playing basketball, hiking, ice fishing, and cross-country skiing.
