Bio
Rob’s practice is mainly focussed as litigation counsel, having appeared regularly before both the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench. Rob has assisted clients reach successful outcomes in disputes involving commercial litigation, employment, construction, debt recovery, personal injury, estate litigation, real estate disputes, and other general litigation. In addition, Rob also enjoys assisting both individuals and corporations with residential and commercial real estate transactions.
Rob was born and raised in Greater Manchester, England. After graduating law school with honours in 2006, he joined one of the world’s largest aerospace and defence manufacturers in a corporate commercial role. His career took him to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where from 2008 to 2013 his work in commercial transactions and export control compliance supported UK Government programs to supply the Saudi Arabian armed forces. It was during this time that Rob met his wife, Jen, who was born and raised in Grande Prairie.
Rob completed the requirements for internationally trained lawyers to practice in Canada, being accredited by the Federation of Law Societies of Canada in November, 2013. Rob and his wife relocated to Grande Prairie, and he joined KMSC Law LLP in January 2014.
Rob is an active volunteer in our local community, providing seminars to the public on legal topics such as landlord and tenant law, real estate law, and employment law. In addition, Rob volunteers with Grande Prairie Legal Guidance, assisting low income members of the Grande Prairie community with legal issues.
In his spare time, Rob enjoys a variety of activities, including travelling, quad biking, hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his young family.
My years of international experience in the business world has given me a big picture perspective that I am able to apply to both businesses and individuals. This helps me to understand the solutions that are most advantageous to each client, enabling me to tailor their legal services on an individual basis.
