Gareth Pugh

Gareth grew up in Grande Prairie and attended post-secondary education at the Grande Prairie Regional College. He earned a Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctor degrees at the University of Alberta. After completing his legal studies in 2012, Gareth and his wife Wendy moved back to Grande Prairie where he completed his articles at KMSC Law LLP. He was called to the bar in 2013 and is currently practicing as an Associate.

Gareth practices in several areas of law, including corporate and commercial law, employment law, estate planning and administration, commercial and residential real estate, and general litigation. Gareth has appeared on behalf of clients in the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta.

Gareth enjoys being involved in the community in a variety of ways. During law school Gareth was on the executive board for Student Legal Services of Edmonton and volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada.

Currently, Gareth teaches the Business Law course at Grande Prairie Regional College and is an instructor with the Grande Prairie Council for Lifelong Learning. He provides seminars to the public regarding legal topics such as estate planning, real estate law and landlord and tenant law. In addition to volunteering with Grande Prairie Legal Guidance, where he assists low income members of the Grande Prairie community with legal issues, Gareth is also on the Board of Directors for the Community Foundation of Northwestern Alberta.

In his spare time Gareth enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer, camping and traveling.
