Bio
Tyler was born and raised in Grande Prairie and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School. He began his post-secondary education at GPRC before transferring to the University of Alberta to obtain a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in business economics and law. After his undergraduate studies, Tyler returned to the Peace Country to work in the oil and gas industry before proceeding to attend law school at the University of Calgary, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2019.
During law school Tyler was involved in the Business Law Association, the Faculty of Law rugby team and captained the Faculty of Law hockey team. Since starting with KMSC Tyler has volunteered with Grande Prairie Legal Guidance and joined the Board of Directors of the 3D Children’s Society.
Tyler maintains a general law practice but primarily practices in the areas of corporate and commercial law, real estate and estate planning and administration. Tyler seeks to form long term relationships with his clients by assisting them through all stages of their individual or corporate lives. Tyler is proud to assist with drafting and negotiating contracts, the formation and structuring of corporations and other business entities, corporate reorganizations and mergers and acquisitions. Tyler regularly assists clients with residential, commercial and agricultural real estate transactions and reviews and negotiates leases. Tyler also helps his clients plan for the future by creating estate plans and assisting with the administration of estates.
Outside of work you can find Tyler at the rink, snowboarding or hacking up the golf course.
