Todd was raised in Lawn, Newfoundland. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) at Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1997, his Masters of Business Administration and Bachelor of Law degrees from the University of New Brunswick in 2001, and his Masters of Law (LLM) with a specialization in corporate and securities law from the University of London in 2012. Todd completed CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Course in 2020. He is a member of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador (2002), the Law Society of Alberta (2004), the Canadian Bar Association, the Grande Prairie Bar Association and the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association.
Todd joined the firm in 2004. He is involved with and advises several non-profit and community-based organizations. Todd has been a Trustee of the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation for nearly ten years and currently holds the position of Chair of the Board. He formerly served as a director of Kev’s Kids Society and was a past president of the Grande Prairie Volunteer Services Bureau. Todd has also served as a sessional instructor at Grande Prairie Regional College teaching an introductory law course. He regularly conducts legal presentations as a volunteer with several community organizations and businesses. Todd’s practice areas include corporate and commercial law with a focus on corporate reorganizations, sales and acquisitions, estate planning and administration and commercial, agricultural and residential real estate.
