Jory Simard

Jory is an associate with KMSC Law LLP, focusing his practice on corporate and commercial law, real estate, and general business advisory. He is committed to providing practical, business‑minded solutions and assisting clients throughout the Grande Prairie and Peace Region with clarity, efficiency, and professionalism.

Born and raised in Grande Prairie, Jory earned his Bachelor of Commerce with distinction from the University of Alberta, majoring in Business Economics and Law. He went on to complete a combined Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration at the University of Alberta in 2025. His MBA experience included working on cross‑cultural teams, studying strategy, finance, crisis management, and leadership, and completing capstone projects focused on bringing new products to market. These experiences have given him a strong foundation in both business and law and a versatile approach to problem‑solving.

Before beginning his articles, Jory spent four summers with KMSC Law, gaining hands‑on experience in client service, legal research, and file management. He is also the founder and operator of a small business, through which he developed practical skills in entrepreneurship, client relations, and day‑to‑day operations.

In addition to his legal and business pursuits, Jory serves as a Board Member with the Wapiti Community Support Association, where he is committed to supporting local social programs and strengthening community services in the region.

Outside the office, Jory enjoys skiing in the winter, golfing in the summer, and staying active year‑round. A lifelong athlete and former competitive hockey player, he hopes to one day coach minor hockey in Grande Prairie. Jory values time spent with his fiancée, family, and friends and is proud to build his career in the community he has always called home.
