Sophie was raised in Barrhead, Alberta, before moving to Stony Plain in 2009. As one of seven siblings, she learned early on the value of teamwork, adaptability, and strong communication—qualities that continue to shape her approach to both life and law.
After working in her family’s retail grocery business for nearly a decade, Sophie developed a strong work ethic and solid foundation in operations, customer service, and problem-solving. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) in 2020, graduating with honours.
After completing her undergraduate degree, Sophie took two years to gain hands-on experience in the legal field, working in various roles at KMSC Law. These roles allowed her to develop a practical understanding of the legal landscape and further fueled her interest in pursuing a legal career.
Sophie obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan in 2025. During her studies, she spent a semester abroad at the University of Helsinki in Finland, where she embraced the opportunity to travel and explore 12 different countries. Sophie also joined the law school charity band, organizing shows throughout the years with all the proceeds being donated to a local charity.
Called to the Alberta Bar in July 2026, her areas of interest include corporate and commercial transactions, wills and estates, real estate, and general business law. She is committed to expanding her knowledge and gaining experience across a wide range of legal matters and looks forward to combining her business acumen and legal training to provide thoughtful, practical solutions for her clients.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Sophie enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, staying active by attending spin classes, and exercising her musical talents through singing and playing piano and guitar.
